In 2010, Joe and Megan met while working the Star Wars Weekends event in Walt Disney World. Their romance blossomed over the next few years, and they were both happily married on Star Wars Day, May 4th, in 2014. A year into their marriage, they both became active members of the Star Wars costume/philanthropy club, the 501st.
Both fell head over heels in love with each other not just for the shared faith, intelligence, and love in the other. They both discovered they were equal creators. Joe creates with a laser cutter, CNC Router, 3D printer, and numerous other shop equipment. Megan prefers creating with sewing machine and Cricut, although she loves dabbling with just about any craft medium. Joe and Megan are devoted makers and hope to inspire others to create as well.
Megan had the vision of the Etsy shop years ago, although she lacked the technological skill and enough belief in herself to do it. Her handsome prince charming came to the rescue, set up her shop, and has not stopped encouraging her to pursue her dream, no matter the doubt that may come.
Hello and welcome to That’s Sew McFly!
I taught myself how to sew about five years ago, and as I’ve made various items over the years, I have found my love for comfort items, such as heating pads, hot/cold packs, and bowl cozies, both as gifts and for personal use.
Do you need comfort in your life? Do you know somebody who does? I am hoping, in some small way, to provide that comfort for you and your loved ones, while using fun, fandom fabrics!
With every purchase from my shop, you are helping a small business grow, and I cannot thank you enough. Also with every purchase, you will be helping a great cause, because one tenth of my profits go towards select charities throughout the year. Thanks for making a positive difference not only in my life, but also in the world!
I work happily from home, surrounded by my loving husband and numerous cats and dogs.
